Location
Item#
Qty

Records are listed as

Location,Item,Qty
loc1,1234,5
loc1,1234,2
loc2,1111,1

Is there a way to add the qty's for the same item number . I am getting multiple records for the
same item number . I want the sfotware to add the qty's if I scan the same item number .

I want the data to show
loc1,1234,7
loc2,1111,1

In the advanced settings of the session:
1. Select Update existing record
2. Check Append if not found
3. Select Based on: item#

Or
1. Field Item :
On the After Scan TAB, tick the "Auto find on scan" option
2. Field Qty :

Then

Hi zishan,
This works well on my side, I have a similar application as yours.
The "Auto Find on scan" option will help you to not duplicate the Items.
What problem are you facing ?
Could you send what you did ?

Hi Didlier,

it's working but few issues,

1. every time i scan same nfc tag, qty value increased by 1, rather value should only be increased for the different tags but same item number. And not scanning the same tag with same item number. how to rectify ?

2. the initial value in the qty field is coming as 1 instead of 0 ?

3. ideally what i want is after every scan relevant fields should populate automatically ? for example.
Fitted Sheet LN1001 - qty (increase as scan goes)
Flat Sheet LN1002 - qty (increase as scan goes)
Pillows LN1003 - qty (increase as scan goes)
Duvets LN1004 - qty (increase as scan goes)

below are the details, for simplicity i just opened two fields for now, Fitted Sheet and Quantity,

fitted sheet

upload_2017-4-14_11-25-10.png

then for qty

Hi Zishan,

For a RFID usage, on the Data Capture TAB, you have to set :
- Enable RFID scanner
- Scan Stop to "Tag read"

I cannot see this option for a NFC usage, anyone ?

Hi Zishan,

For the issue 1, a solution is to make a session 2 like "Code list" and from session 1 use the "lookup" option.
First, you have to fill in the list code session with some bar codes ex: 650240005428 Pills ( I used items that I had at hand).
Second, scan the boxes.
I attached an example in order to help you to better understand.
If it can help you, I used an Access Database with TracerPlus connect to manage an industrial laundry application.

Didier
